Was very disappointed when I entered the restaurant. First, I was told that it was booked due to a football game. How do they know each person is here for a game and will be eating there for an entire game? Second, we saw two tables leaving and they said it was for a party of 9 and that party was in a bar. I'm sorry they lose their spot. It wasn't fair for us a family of 6 to be turned away and have to look somewhere else to eat. Lastly, the hostess could have said "it will be a longer wait due to the game" instead of "fully booked". There was no sign that we had to make reservations.

It wasn't great, it wasn't bad. They raved about the fish and chips and I thought they were just okay. The service was bad but it wasn't good. The Old lady at the bar tried to talk my ear off. Three stars

I came for lunch once, and I doubt I'll be coming back, for lunch or for any other reason. Here's why. 1. Service was slow. I had 1.5 hours for my lunch break, which ought to be plenty to grab a bite and enjoy yourself. But my co-workers and I were rushing to get out of there, having just barely finished our lunches after spending 80 minutes there, and having to pay the bill literally as we walked out the door. Not only did it take a while for us to have our drink and food orders taken, but the food itself took what seemed like an eternity to get served. 2. Service was inadequate. My water never got refilled without me having to flag a waitress down to ask for it. My salad didn't come with any dressing (What?! Yes, it's true. I had to ask the waitress for salad dressing.). Refer to point 1 for other examples. And it wasn't even busy! It always baffles me when a place isn't busy, yet the service seems slow. But maybe that's why it wasn't busy.. As far as the food, it's what you'd probably expect from a Ram restaurant. I got the turkey havarti sandwich with a salad, and while none of it blew my socks off, it was better than the service. Which isn't saying much, I guess.

I have to write an update... I took their online survey about my experience and the same day, the manager called me. Wow, I am impressed with how much their company cares and is involved. Five stars for the management. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I finally got to check out their new Federal Way location... And I absolutely regret it. Simply nasty. I ordered some seafood/artichoke melt sandwich and my bf had the Reuben sandwich. My seafood/artichoke was like a pile of vomit. Overly greasy... Seriously, what a joke. My bf's Reuben sandwich was a disgrace to all Reuben's. The corned beef was tough, rubbery, and tasted like plastic. The sour kraut tasted like it was soaking in some rotten wasabi for weeks then washed in a tub of salt (Can wasabi even rot?) WTF!! Their food is atrocious. You know, to give it one last go... We ordered a dessert. The brownie skillet. How can one go wrong with a brownie, ice cream, and whipped cream? Even I can't screw that up. Well, the Ram sure did. Tasted like cardboard... I would not bother coming here to eat. Utter disappointment.

I have always enjoyed the Ram. I usually went to the one in Kent but we decided to try out the one in Federal Way as it is new. The first visit was ok. Nothing horrible but nothing great. I asked our bartender what the special drafts were and she looked really confused like she didn't know so I ordered a 71. Then at the end of our meal a guest at the bar told us what special drafts they had LOL! It seemed like our bartender was a little new, but it really didn't bother me. Our food was fantastic as usual and our drinks stayed full so I really didn't have any major complaints, other than the server who had the back of her bra showing... I filled out an online review and the manager called me back immediately and we spoke over the phone. She was very respectful and understanding and invited us back to enjoy the experience better. We came back a second time and the bartender we had was quick and attentive. The food, again, was great! Regardless of the experience I would come back, good or bad. I enjoy the Ram and I was a server years ago so I understand the industry. The experience is what you make it. If you let the bad times get to you or the bad server then it will just make things worse. I think the management here is on top of their game as well and doing what they can to make this place great for all.

Great Food!! Good atmosphere, lots of big screen TV's for sports viewing. Our waitress Laneil was excellent. There were 9 in our party and every single person loved their food.

Super busy location for a week night. We were greeted nicely and seated rather quickly. Bathrooms are nice and clean and they do have the baby changing table. Our waitress was forgetful. It's like she almost forgot we were there. We went to the ram because they have food on the kids menu my special needs kiddos would actually eat. Only to find out that they changed their kids corn dogs. They looked more like hush puppies not corn dog shaped at all. It was also a beef hotdog. I don't know many kids that will eat a beef hotdog. My kids would not touch them. I was curious and tried them and was not impressed. Definitely disgusting. The waitress did say they just switched the recipe and the staff wasn't informed (the manager didn't even know). They were super nice and put in a different order for my kiddos. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri. It ended up being a nasty rum slushy. The manager had stopped by to apologize about the kids meals. He ended up not charging us for the kids meals and he took my drink back and had it remade and apologized. The fish and chips were fantastic!!! The prawns were equally delicious. The coleslaw needs some serious work.

Great service, AWSOME beer and good burgers. I love the ram 100% better than red robin or any other commercial burger joint . I'll be back regularly !

The Ram delivered! I went in for a great burger and am still thinking about how delicious it was the next day. I usually frequent the U District location, but we were en route to Great Wolf, so cautiously left the highway in Federal Way to fuel the kids for the water park fest to come. The loaded fries app plate was cleared by our family post haste. Yum! I ordered the Hillbilly burger and they really did a ying yang balance (savory/sweet and crunchy/juicy) when they designed it. I also tried my husband's Patty Melt. It was almost as good as my burger. The only bad thing about the meal was that I ate way more calories than I should in any given sitting. I admit that I will happily run several miles before my next Ram visit. Worth the calorie investment!

Always a fan of this restaurant chain. Great variety on the menu. This location has a tight, crowded parking lot but we were able to get a table in decent time with the call ahead option.

The food isn't bad, but not the greatest either. The last time I went, I sat in the bar. There was only one waiter in the bar, and he gave good customer service for being the only waiter in the busy bar. He did forget a few items we asked for, but was sincerely apologetic and still did a good job. I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Burger, which I haven't seen anywhere else yet so far, so I had to try...it was pretty good, tasted basically like a bacon burger. I do like that their bar opens later than most restaurants.

  • Dan S.

We been going to the Ram but not at this location. We sat in the bar. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. I had the fish and chips, not really the best, a little mushy. My wife had the breaded prawns, she said they were fine. Reading the other reviews probably should of stuck with ribs and burgers.

10% off your bill if you're staying at the hotels nearby! Not bad, I guess. Came here because we were starving after flying in and this place was right next door to the hotels. If you're looking for your fair share of unhealthy food, this place is it! Everything from waffle-cut fries to fried pickles to mac and cheese, this is the place. Hits the spot if you're hungry, but I would say the food was average. Drinks and cocktails here were pretty delicious though. Also, you can borrow tablets to play trivia on the TV while you're waiting. Pretty cool.

Not many HH places in FW so the RAM is one of the places I occasionally go to. Pretty good food and a good selection of beers and appetizers. Probably more known for their burgers/sandwiches, which they makes pretty well. They had some new Asian inspired burgers went I went. My friend and I ordered two burgers and split halves. We got the Taste of Seoul Burger, which was a Korean galbi-marinated burger with pickled veggies, and the Pork Belly Burger, which was a beef patty with pork belly. The Taste of Seoul was actually quite good with a good sweet taste to it. Reminded me of the Bulgalbi Burgers I had at Lotteria in Korea. The Pork Belly Burger was pretty good as well. However, the Pork Belly was more of thick cut bacon than a traditional Asian pork belly one would think of. Both burgers were very juicy as well and some napkins were required! We got some appetizers which were disappointing today (or maybe they just didn't taste as good since I didn't have a beer). The loaded waffle fries were quite cheesy and little too much cheese for me. The nachoes were alright but nothing like Matador or the such. The calamari always tastes good and I think is the best appetizer offered. Overall, the Ram is a decent place to go to for HH. Decent selection of appetizers and beers (which I haven't talked about today).

I was at this restaurant on Saturday and the food was good. The service was terrible. I spoke to a manager and she was very nice and gave my friend and I a $20 gift cert for the trouble. Because the service was so bad I didn't leave a tip. I checked my bank account a couple of days later and they had added almost $5 to my bill. Not sure that I will ever go back to this restaurant.

Great place to eat. Variety of foods to choose from. Staying at Marriott next door so the location was really convenient. No wait, seated quickly, great waitress!

This place is just average. I could eat here again if someone I was with wanted to, but I wouldn't choose it myself. Had a hamburger and fries. The fries are soggy and not fresh. The hamburger is the same quality I could get at Jack In The Box. Super loud joint as there are no barriers for the huge one room dining area plus large TV's playing sports. Decor is way boring and tells nothing in a story. Service as not what it should have been, but not terrible. Food: 3 Service: 3 Parking: 4 Decor: 2

I like the fact that they are open late. However they seem to change their menu alot. I usually hit up late night HH. I really liked the Proud Mary Bloody Mary (which I don't think they do anymore). The food is meh - fried pickle chips were yuck and the burgers were just ok. Service is either really good or non-existent. Really should be 2 1/2 stars...........

  • Devin H.

Was with a group of about 12 people. The service was good, food good as well. The only thing I could complain about was the temperature. It was a little chilly. At first it was refreshing after being in the hot summer climate, but became a reason to step outside for a while... Not a big deal at all, again, over all a good experience.

Went on a weeknight because the weekends seem to be hellishly busy. Best idea ever! Food was decent, I wouldn't say it was the best damn burger I've ever had, but it was good. They had a few "foo foo" drinks on the menu that I wanted to try just because. Let me just say that "foo foo" generally means "too damn sweet". My friend stuck to beer, which is what I should have done. I'll go back, definitely.

There's a few things you can count on everytime you go to this place (unless it's a special game night or something.) 1. Seated very quickly and you have your drinks within just a few minutes. 2. Servers are ON IT! Very friendly, attentive and check on you every 10 minutes. 3. Food is delicious! Especially the crab and artichoke dip appetizer. Omg....it's like heaven! 4. Totally affordable. My husband and I can go, get 2 appetizer, entrees and a drink for $65. I love this place and I'm really grateful it's only 5 minutes from my house!

I am not a Ram fan - although yesterday we had an outstanding waitress. She was accommodating, fast, helpful, pleasant and everything you could ask from a waitress. I have found the food to always be plain - nothing special. Yesterday we had the Steak sandwich and it was 3 out of 5 stars. We also had the potato skins which I enjoy since it is actual potato skins - not a potato just sliced. If yesterday had been the only time I was there I would have given them 4 stars but it is only one of a number times and we have experience slow service and the food is just OK. Compared to Red Robin - the food is not as good but appears to be more expensive. I like Red Robin atmosphere better so that is why the 3 stars.

Gotta give this place 5 stars! I have taken my family here several times. The burgers are so good! Juicy, and just so satisfying! The servers are excellent. The food is always hot, and the time it takes from ordering to sinking your teeth into a burger is just right. The prices are fair, and the quality is great. I have never left The Ram hungry, or dissatisfied. In fact, I have left The Ram so full, I almost needed to call a cab instead of driving home! Kudos!!

The food was hit or miss. The ribs and their sauce was pretty good. I also enjoyed the mac&cheese. The beer & cheese soup was too greasy and bland. The cheese filled tots were just mush, hard to eat. The service was spotty.

  • Carmen R.

I come here often because the happy hour is awesome. They have $3.50 drinks and super cheap prices for great size bites. I also like they're regular menu burgers. The vampire fires are delightful. The staff is hit or miss. I've had some awesome people, and not so fun people. Overall, the food is consistent, it's better then Red Robin, and you can't beat $3.50 for an 18oz beer.

I had an enjoyable experience with my party and it was fun for the most part. We've eaten here before, but this is the first time I've written a review. The food here is always delicious and the server/bartender we had helping us was very attentive to our needs. The fries that I had were a bit soggy, but that wasn't a deal breaker seeing as I don't really fancy fries. I guess since I asked for Vampire Fries, it would be a little soggy since it has toppings. Lol. Overall, enjoyed my experience and I'm sure we'll be back.

Amazing steak and pulled pork sandwiches and delicious beers! The bartender kid was really friendly and made some great recommendations for food, beer, and things to do on our trip to seattle. This was a great spot and I will be back next time I fly into the area!

  • Tres B.

The food here is a touch above standard bar fare, the service is plastified, abrupt and OK. Great place to watch a game and I like their blonde beer very much. THsi would never be a destination for me. I'm not fan of Federal Way and not a fan of The Ram, its benign. Buti fyoure stuck at ahotel nearby, this is a reasonable option.

Good food and service. Our hostess was a little short with us but she did state she had been busy all night. Not a bad place to grab a bite to eat of you are in the neighborhood.

  • Jeanne N.

They have a new spring burger menu with a lot of variety. My sweet hubby had a turkey/cranberry burger that he said was wonderful - - it came with avocado which he had them hold. That, an Angry Ale, traditional fries & a side Ceasar salad made a great combo for him. I had an Asian inspired burger with a soy sauce topping that was lovely. It was garnished with cucumber & red onion marinated in a vinaigrette sauce that was reminiscent of rice vinegar in a veggie stir fry. Loved it! My stare was a a wedge salad (hold the pecans) & my side was sweet potato fries. My dinner was complemented by a Skinny Lemondrop cocktail. Altogether a nice dinner on a busy weeknight.

I travel to Fed Way from another state often. This is my #2 spot overall (after Salty's Redondo) in the neighborhood. If you are staying at one of the two adjacent hotels you can't beat the location. Beer selection is solid, and they have handled a dinner for 20 people well for me. The food is fine. Nothing your haven't had before, but the price is good and the quality is good. Very good at what they are trying to do.

So we realized that if you are a man and you are with your woman at the bar your service is gonna suck.

    (1)
  • Apollo Y.

Our service was 5 stars, I mean my burger was the bomb and our waitress was on point, super friendly, and my son really liked her lol. Where everything went downhill was in our food, pretty much everyone in our group had something that was too salty on their plate (straight from the sea salty). Sister-in-law: mash potatoes were salty. Mother-in-law: French fries a little too salty for her. Wifey: meatloaf plate was way way too salty. Me: house made chips were way way way too salty. Not sure if I'll go back cause I know what it's like working in this industry and sometimes they have off nights but this was a little too much even for me. Maybe next time, if there is a next time, I'll just stick to a salad.

Though they have a full menu, the burgers are why I would go to this restaurant. Also 20% off the bill if you are staying at the Courtyard hotel next door.

  • Olivia S.

The beer is okay. The food is okay. Its kind of basic and not incredibly flavorful or fresh. We've been here twice and I don't think we will go back. I would put it into the same class as Red Robin or Applebee's.

  • Cody B.

I had to break my yelp dry-spell to write this review. One of the worst burgers I have had. At an American place that does burgers and beer, you'd expect them to nail both of these. They took a beautiful kaiser roll and turned it into a dry crouton. Blasphemy!! Save your appetite and your money and keep moving.

Stopped in the Federal Way Ram for lunch today and to watch a little NCAA basketball. Tyson in the lounge was awesome. changed the Chanel on a TV to the game that I wanted to watch. delivered water, menu and table sitting right when I sat down. Menu has pits of option and the food club sandwich with coleslaw was delivered quickly and it was very good. Thanks Ram!

Stopped in for a bite to eat. Ordered some starter salads but our waitress Shaman did not take our entrée order until we were finished with the salads. As a result we ended up having to wait some time to get our entrees. I had the Faberge burger which was quite tastey and my wife the Legion of shroom stadium burger both with turkey patties. She substituted the regular bun for the rye bread which was quite good. Overall the food was good and although didn't have any beer this time it seemed reasonably priced. Service on the other hand a bit lacking and it wasn't even that busy......so only 3 stars.

Good atmosphere at bar. Baseball and football on TV. New draft beers periodically. Discount for neighbor hotel guests. $3.25 18oz beers at happy hour. Engaging crowd. Quick service. Clean. French dip was very good with tender beef. Hamburgers looked great. Would have the jalapeño bacon cheese w peanut butter but I wasn't in the mood. Mixup in order resulted in comped dinner delivered by manager. Went well beyond expected.

  • Ken M.

Good food, excellent beers, happy hour has a lot of good food at good prices. I'd like the atmosphere in the bar, BUT I have a problem with the lighting in there. They seem to have spotlights aimed at most of the tables, so you feel like you are being interrogated! Why not have softer lighting? Even the waitresses find it annoying. Fix that and it's 5 stars. Try the muddy cupcake! Excellent, and not ovely large dessert. If you like an amber beer they have something called Buttface that is very good.

  • Debora L.

An ideal location since I'm staying at the Courtyard Marriott. Service was pleasant. Food was just OK: I ordered an entree sized spinach salad which was somewhat light on the spinach and heavy on the sun dried tomatoes. It was fine, nothing special. Breadstick reminded me of the yeasty ones from Olive Garden. Friend and I shared a warm skillet cookie which tasted commercial - Otis Spunkmeyer-esque cookie with melting Dreyer's ice cream. My total (split) was $20 including tip. Biggest complaint was that there were very few vegetarian options (I'm vegetarian).

Like this place just happened to be in the area saw the sign and walked in to find a nice clean restaurant ample seating great beer sampler lots of menu options the boneless wings were delicious with the buttface ale had to take a growler of that home. Nice place definitely a new favorite

Wow. I've always been puzzled how folks could call a meatloaf light and fluffy until today. Went in for an early dinner and were seated right away. Positive attentive staff who seemed really happy to being seeing us.It is always a lovely touch when the manager can come over when things are going well. Great drink menu with many options I'm looking forward to trying in the future, today went with a hard apple cider. Warm, cozy feel to the decor and the noise level was reasonable and we were able to have a decent conversation. I was very happy that the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. I like dessert and at too many places I have to forgo it because I get full from dinner. The meatloaf...ahhh what can I say? A great combination of textures and flavors from the crispy onion straws on top to the creamy mashed potatoes on the bottom, I could tell thought as well as top-flight fresh ingredients went into the dish. The desserts were good as well and a nice ending to a lovely meal. Looking forward to coming back to try some of their limeades and rum punches.

Not that Federal Way needed another chain/fast food restaurant, but I don't mind that the Ram is here. Since it's fairly new, the place can get pretty busy but we must have picked a good time to go because we didn't have to wait at all for a seat at the bar. I've never thought the food (main entrees) at any of their restaurants were great but they do have some yummy appetizers you can share. I had the buffalo wings and loaded waffles fries and both were satisfying. The service at the bar was attentive and friendly and the beer was good, though I'm disappointed that they don't have their own brewery, as they do at other locations (I assume this particular building is too small to have one). All in all, it's nice to have a new place to hang out with friends and grab a beer.

Great Beer, Excellent Burgers, but don't order a DOUBLE SHOT of liquor, you'll only get a single shot, for the price of a Double! Complained to the Bartenders, they sent over the Mgr., he tells me it's company policy to pour 1.25oz/ shots. A Jigger is 1.5oz! They pour WEAK-ASS shots!, but charge you top dollar, that's their policy! I'll never order a shot of any kind here again!

Occassion: Late Night Happy Hour I am very familiar all-to familiar with the Ram restaurants everything from the high ceilings to the decor on the wall. This Federal Way location might as well rename itself to 'Baby Ram' or rename it back to Marie Callender's. The only things that differentiates it from Marie Callender's is the couple dozen bar chairs, some wall hangings, and the flat screens. This is not why i gave it a one-star, because they still had good food. I gave it a one-star, because we had horrible service. Our waitress, K****i, was literally a fast turtle. The first red flag was when we ordered 2 waters and she passed us 4x before finally bringing our waters out. Even though I was not ready, I made the split decision to order a few items, because I did not like how the Federal Way (FW) experience was going. Our food took 28 minutes (yes, I clocked it.) An order of garlic fries, fish sandwich, and thai wraps should not have taken 28 minutes. During delivery of our food, she delivered the plates at the tip of the table convenient to us forcing us to reach over the table and move the plates closer to us. On top of that, I requested ketchup and after she passed me 3x before I had to flag her down and when she came over, she immediately remembered that we needed ketchup. As my wife and I were just sitting there, I was observing the other booths in the bar area. Most people were drinking, but what many of them probably didn't notice that their drinks were sitting at the bar 5+ minutes before our waitress actually delivered the drinks to them. This couple to the right of us who were sitting there before my wife and I arrived got so fed up with our waitress, they walked up to the bartender and tried to order directly with him. I'm not sure how K****i got hired, because it literally looked like she could only perform 1 task at a time and not multi-task. I swear if we would have asked our waitress for 2 napkins she would have done it in 2 trips and that's assuming she would have remembered to do it at all. From a service employee to service employee, it was hard on my eyes to both experience and witness. To top of it off when we asked for our check, the waitress again put the bill at the part of the table most convenient to her forcing us to reach way over the table to get it. She was that lazy she could not position the check in arms reach for us. I have NEVER had such a bad experience at a Ram since yesterday. Honestly, I'm not even going to consider this a Ram Restaurant just because infrastructure and service wise it's not consistent with it's other Ram peers. I understand everything is new, but the service quality is to RAMp up quickly. I'm still a fan of the Ram, just not this one.

Wow. Wouldn't eat here again. This is the first time I've written a review like this. They brought me a wine glass that was filthy (food particles from top to base, colored stains on base, spots everywhere, etc. (I'm not sure if it had even been washed), then they brought me an almost equally dirty replacement. The silverware was also dirty. When our food came we asked the waiter if he could bring some extra napkins (I had used mine to try and clean the glass) but he never returned. We finally flagged someone else down for a napkin. Our waiter never removed our dirty dishes, and after waiting 12 minutes for a brownie dessert, we got up to see if we could get it to go (we were now late...the whole meal was very slow) the cook in the back threw a fit about boxing it, then literally threw it onto the counter. We left without it. Our food did not taste good (which is why we ordered dessert-we didn't eat much of eat and were still hungry...a mistake in hindsight) and we will never return to this restaurant.

I think the best I could say about our dinner was that it wasn't the worst I've ever had. The service was quite good. But the food...oh, the food. Very nicely cooked fish and chips (served with a miniscule portion of coleslaw)....with absolutely no seasoning on the fish! Same with the fish on the fish taco (served with spanish rice that tasted suspiciously like some sort of instant or quick cook rice.). So disappointing because it could have been great with just a little salt! The kids ordered burgers--which looked good but the burger buns were cold and the meat patty was both underseasoned (as in none at all) and WAY overcooked ('charcoal' was how one child described his; "it was so crunchy it scratched my throat" was how the other described his.) I'd give them a pass on the fish and lack of seasoning, but when you are a burger place, you should at least be able to turn out a decent burger. All in all, nearly everything we tried fell short. And, considering the price we paid to get mediocre food, we won't be back.

When another nearby restaraunt wouldn't serve a party of six because it was 9:30pm and they closed at 10 we called Ram and asked if they would serve 6 and they quickly said absolutely! We were able to order immediately and our waiiter was great and the food was good. A nice little place for steak or salad or and burger.

Their Buttface Amber Ale keeps me coming back for more. I love that beer and happy hour prices are fantastic. They have a yummy happy hour menu; their sliders and potato skins are my favorite. Tonight, I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich (called Notorious PIG) and asked to have it served on their pretzel bun (the best flavor and texture) instead of a french roll and it was a great combo. Since I signed up, I got an email for a free dessert that was a giant slice of mud pie (ice cream cake) with fudge poured on top. I've uploaded a picture. Delicious! :-)

The food was subpar for the amount of money you're paying. Two fish taco, black beans, and undercooked Spanish rice for $13.99, really? The waitress forgot my niece's milk and didn't offer her the optional dessert? Really? It wasn't even busy since I didn't have to wait for a table and yet she was so eager to take our order..mmm, I consider that bad customer service. Kids are customers too you know!

another chain poppin up... i hold the RAM in high standards (atmosphere wise) as the first one I ever went to was the UW location. It was a staple for fun and college antics. Beer pounding, Face stuffing burger fun - with lively folks, talking, laughing, shouting during trivia nights. the food was never bad - nor was it every delicious... but its a chain so per standard... This location in particular - the food tastes pretty much the same as the UW location... however the atmosphere was lacking - the RAM vibe. maybe because things are more chill in federal way - or perhaps it was because i came in after 9pm... but the bar had trivia night but it was rather quiet - the voice of the trivia reader read over the intercom and it just felt boring. the restaurant side has very little patrons... and as you walk by the kitchen - you get a lot of looks from the kitchen staff but no smiles or a warm welcoming feel. so overall i'd give it 2.5 stars but i don't believe in rounding up as every star should be earned not given.

I've been to this RAM location a few times. The Federal Way restaurant is new and still very wet behind the ears. But... They are trying. The first time i visited this RAM, I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. Sounds like it would be yummy, right? The salmon was plopped, hot off the grill, onto a spring salad mix. The greens were wilted as soon as the salad arrived at our table. Eewww. We were dining in the bar, too, and the server visited our table so much we felt the intense need to vacate the table ASAP- we definitely got the hint that the server made her tips by getting as many customers through her section as possible. This was the last time we elected to dine in the bar. We've purchased growler fills from here without a hitch. On Fridays, growler fills are $5, which is a terrific deal! The last time my husband and I ate here, we went for the Wednesday steak n' bake special. It's usually around $13 for a steak and potato side. It used to be a baked potato, but now it's a cheesy mashed potato side dish. I am allergic to cheese, so I inquired if I could get the potatoes without cheese, to which our server said , "No problem." Well, it turned out to be a problem and after a while our server returned to apologize; she offered me the baked potato instead ( which I preferred anyway, so I was all good!). Our dinners were brought to our table by the manager on duty. He profusely apologized about the potato debacle, the wait time and said he was taking $12 off our bill for the trouble. We told him there was no need to do that, but he insisted. He said there was no excuse for our waiting time on a steak dinner at their restaurant. The steak was cooked to order, I enjoyed my baked potato and really, really enjoyed their new veggie side: pan roasted veggies, including peppers, onion, and zucchini. When we got up to leave after dinner ( and our check did reflect the $12 discount the manager said he would give us, plus no upcharge for the baked potato) the manager came over one more time to apologize and thank us for our business. So, in short- I'll go back again, but still avoid the bar area. I am interested to see how the restaurant grows as its staff gains more experience.

When this restaurant shows up on Restaurant: Impossible, it'll be the first time I've ever rooted for Robert Irvine to fail. Let's start with the positive: The hostess was AWESOME. Bubbly, friendly, got me seated quickly in a good spot. Awesome. Thus ends the good things about this place. My server, well, let's start simple. I *think* he was my server. He may have just been a customer who took pity on me, sitting there, waiting to be noticed. He took my order, disappeared for a while, and came back with food that looked good, and tasted like... absolutely nothing. Even though the Ramborghini Chicken looked like it should be flavorful, with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes and enough red onion to choke Scott Conant to death, and there was absolutely no sensation on my tongue whatsoever. I took a sip of my drink to make sure that my tongue hadn't stopped functioning; it was working. Clearly, this restaurant preys on the poor, unsuspecting fuckers at the hotel next door. I can't imagine there's anything similar to a repeat customer there.

We have been to several other Rams and were happy that they opened up another one in Fed Way. It is pretty good food and service is always pretty good. The place was pretty busy for a Monday night. There were quite a few people in the bar watching MNF and we waited about 15 minutes for a seat at 7pm. My wife and I just got off the airplane from 2 weeks in Italy and weren't that hungry but we took our teenage boys out to eat so we could catch up with them. In Italy, dinners can take a long long time. We evidently had gotten used to it. Our appetizer didn't come for 20 minutes or so. I didn't really notice. A magician who is there every Monday night entertained us with a few tricks at our table. The waiter came over and said our app was free because it took so long. Our dinners didn't come for another 15-20 minutes. I think, I wasn't really paying attention and the jetlag was still in me. I again didn't really care. We were talking a lot and I wasn't really hungry. My soup was pretty good and the boys had sandwiches which they liked. Meg had a big salad because in Italy they don't serve many vegies in restaurants. The waiter offered us a dessert because we waited so long but we declined because we had stuff to do at home. The manager then brought us our check and about half the stuff was free. I hadn't been unhappy but this made sure we weren't unhappy with the service and we will go back

Not my kind of place. I only ended up here because of a business meeting with a new employee. Very "Office Space" like, if you get my "special super friendly scripted" meaning. I ordered a Ruben-Burger, rare with Sweet Potato fries. The burger was a defiantly medium (if not well done) and the fries where cold. If you are looking for a good Burger - might I recommend Burger Express on Pac Highway. (Why not 1 star, well, I reserve that for places where I return the food, leave the restaurant in disgust, or die of food poisoning.)

Already familiar with several of the other Ram locations I was excited to try the new one located in Federal Way. We had some friends meet us for dinner and we sat in the bar at one of the booths. Our server Teresa was very friendly and answered any questions we had about the menu. We ended up ordering the chicken fajitas, a club sandwich, fish and chips, the sarducci sandwich and several beers. All of our orders came out correct and relatively quick, especially for as busy as they were. Not being able to resist the dessert menu we finished off our visit with mud pie, carrot cake and a peanut butter ice cream cupcake. Eyes being a little bigger than our stomachs we couldn't finish them all, but they were delicious. We will definitely make a return visit. Additional thanks to the rest of the staff there for making us all feel welcome!

I've been dying to go to the Ram in Federal Way, since the location is close, and also I LOVE THE RAM BURGERS! The Mister and I sat in the bar. Our waitress Charise (I apologize if I have misspelled the name) is incredibly awesome! She is so attentive, gives good customer service and always leaves with a smile! She is willing to go above and beyond and makes sure that you get the service that you deserve and that the experience is PLEASANT!! THANK YOU for your hard work :)

What can I say about Ram. Good beer and good. Not the best but good. I stay at the Hampton every time I'm in town and Ram is nice place to go. I can walk there from the hotel and feel welcome. The staff there is very pleasant.

I normally never post about places that I've eaten (yet), but this one is worth my review... The Ram in Federal Way was a great place to eat at! This is one of the few retaurants that I've gone too that was REALLY responsive and had great customer service, from wait staff to mangement! If you're planning to take your family out for a nice dinner, you should go to The RAM! The food was excellent and there's something for everyone!

We were seated promptly and were able to order quickly. The hostess, and servers were professional and nice. Our drinks were tasty with the exception of a raspberry lemonade which for some reason tasted like Crystal Light. When our food came, two out of three orders were wrong. My husband ordered chips and got fries and my daughter ordered a plain burger and got a cheese burger. When the burger came back, the cheese had been scraped off poorly and flipped over. It took awhile for my husbands chips to arrive. I had the Tumbleweed which tasted nothing like at the Olympia and Tacoma stores. The fried peppers were greasy and there was barely any sauce. The Ranch dressing I ordered for my fries was so watery you could see through it. Although we live in Federal Way, I think we will travel to Tacoma or Olympia to visit the Ram from now on.

My husband and I have come here several times, as we are fans of the franchise and were excited that one had opened just after we moved to Federal Way. We came in last night after one failed attempt to visit another restaurant in the area. The service here has always been good, however last night it was slow. There was no drink menu at our table, so our server brought us one and disappeared for a while. He did apologize, and took our order. All our food came in a reasonable amount of time, including my drink (try the dragonberry mojito!), though the server initially brought a diet coke for my hubby, which was quickly replaced. No other hiccups until it came to giving us our bill and returning the card, which (according to hubby) was a bit of a wait (I didn't notice...). The server offered us $10 knocked off our bill, despite me never realizing we were being made to wait. The server was courteous and professional, though may have been given too many tables which would explain the wait times and mixed up soda. We'll be back again, as we have had excellent service here in the past. I will remark from previous trips here the vegetarian options are not pleasant. The grilled veggie foccacia comes out soggy (I tried twice) and the in-house veggie burger is made from bulger wheat and tends to fall apart (similar to TJ's veggie burger) while being eaten. This time I tried the pescetarian route and had the new-to me blackened fish tacos with mexi-rice and black beans. This was excellent and my new favorite dish :)

This Ram is cool, and close for me. However this one falls way short of my Ram standards. Been here 3x now and it's as if the service gets worse each time. Drinks sitting at the bar while our waitress walks around bs'g for over ten mins is revolting! It's like this staff wants this bar to be just a dive bar and that's how they serve the customers. C'mon staff, the Ram might not be Saltys but have some damn pride. Ur tips depend on it!!!

Review just for Happy Hour. Been here a few times for HH and it was great. The restaurant is pretty dead. The bar was almost full though. Great drinks, food, and awesome service. Very friendly wait staff. Glad to have a Ram closer to home. Will have to try it for dinner soon.

The Ram is your typical burgers and grub kind of Northwest restaurant. They make their own beers (which I hear are delicious), they have great quality burgers, and serve up awesome desserts -- try the sizzling bread pudding with homemade caramel sauce! Now, the reason I give this place less than 4-stars is really because of how overpriced and loud this place is. For what you ultimately receive, the amazing burgers cost less than their healthy/lite options like a piece of grilled salmon or chicken breast with steamed veggies (come on now guys... 17.99 for that)? As for the noise, it's not painful, but it sure is an obnoxious ambient clatter that multiplies until you find yourself shouting directly at the person beside you for them to decipher anything you speak. Other than that, The Ram is a great local pub-type grill!

We have been to this restaurant about 5 times now and we have brought friends with us, a sure sign that we like it. The beers I've tried (Buttface Amber, I think it's called, and their Hefeweizen ) were both good, and the burgers have been large, juicy and well-prepared. Our servers have been polite and attentive without overdoing it. The menu seems to have plenty of choices and options to satisfy whatever you are in the mood for. The Stadium Burger was excellent, with sauteed mushrooms and cheddar. There were plenty of TV screens, but we didn't go there to see TV, and thankfully they were not loud enough to force us to talk over them. We used to go to Kent and even Tacoma to go to Ram restaurants, so we were very happy to see one open near us. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Just moved to FedWay from Seattle. The 2 Ram Restaurants in Seattle are 100 times better than the one in Federal Way. Four of us went for lunch. We waited at least an hour for our food. The server didn't come around to see how we were doing, if we wanted anymore water, or why our food was taking so long ... unless that's the standard. The french dip sandwich was terrible. The bread was over-toasted and the meat was cold. As far as the other people in my group, they were not impressed with their food either. No one finished their food. Service was poor. Food was poor. The whole experience was poor. I expected so much more from a Ram restaurant. I won't return.

  • Ryan M.

Well, I am not sure what else I can add with a review for this place. Its just like any other RAM. It is however, much much smaller than the other RAM's. Small enough to a point where you have wait times of over 45 minutes! The Ruston Way RAM probably has 2x the number of seats. I guess they didn't anticipate this place being such a big hit. The place is clean, the food is consistent and they have a great system down. The booths are comfortable and large. I would love to come here more but I can't stand to 45 minutes for a burger.

Just dropped in for a new dining adventure since this Ram opens in place of the former Marie Callendars location. Started with the brew sampler, a nice mixture of the draft beers they offer. Took a while for the beer to come. I ordered the rib eye steak since the description on this dish was so tempting; California corn fed beef, aged to perfection..and more. My better half ordered the Caprese sandwich. The wait for our meals were a bit long, approximately 25 mintues. When our dinners arrived, the food runner asked if I'd make a cut to see if the steak was cooked to my preference which was R - MR. I complied and made my first cut into the steak. It was medium rather than what I ordered on the rare side. The runner told me that he would take this back to the kitchen and have the cook prepare another steak to my liking. I told this young fellow, it's ok and I'd take the meat as is, but the server insisted that he will take care of it and have the steak cooked to my satisfaction. As I was waiting for the kitchen to cook another piece of meat, I got a bite of my hon's sandwich which was very appealing and tasty, along with the well seasoned crispy Ram fries. As I was waiting for my steak. the manager came over to apologize for the over cook of my steak and stated customer satisfaction is the restaurant's top priority. By that time, the traffic in the dining room had slowed down, and my steak was still not finished cooking. Finally, when the steak was brought to me,the waitress asked if I would make a cut to see if the meat was cooked right. I did so and forcefully had to say it's cooked perfectly, in fact this time the steak was even more like medium well. I don't understand why such difficulty to cook a steak on the rare side. I lied to send away the server and manager so as not to create a scene and besides I was getting hungry. The steak I ordered is a ribeye, this certianly didn't match ribeye quality, there was a large piece of fat and gristle so the meat was very chewy. I have had better steaks at Apple Bees, their sirloin tastes far better and was much more tender, not one bit left on the plate each time I ordered. I ended up taking the steak home for my next day lunch. I will cook it with some vegetables, as I paid $19.99 for this steak. After reading the reviews from other Yelpers, seems like the kitchen staff at Ram have a problem of cooking the meat right according to how customers order. My conclusion is if we return to Rams, probably we will, I will definitely order a sandwich or salad rather than any cooked meat item. This is what I will recommend to any prospect dinners to RAM. The manager on duty was very apologetic. I admire her management skills. The server gave us mediocre service. She did not really pay attention to us until the manager got involved. For a restaurant of this caliber, it's a shame that they don't have better service.

We've been to this Ram about five times now. Every time we go my biggest complaint is the service. It's just slow. They are very nice, friendly waiters and waitresses but they take for-ev-er! The food is okay, nothing to scream about, but never bad. I wish there was something more interesting about this restaurant but there just isn't.

average. Thats all I can say. food was average, atmosphere average, etc. my wife ordered the clam chowder and it was watered down and kinda slimy. It was like they scrapped the side of the pot and added water to stretch it out. I ordered the pastrami burger. it was average. Garlic fries were garlic fries. There was nothing about this place that screamed WOW I want to come back. I do have to say our waitress was great.

I love this place! They have the best veggie burger patty around! Other places just use Boca or morning star.. this place actually make their's in house. So tasty! The fries are good too.. and so are their apps! When we go we love getting the fried pickles or the artichoke dip. Mmm

We've been a couple of times, but after today will not come back. We had previously signed up for their MVP club and had received an email for free birthday dessert, which is their mud pie. Not a big fan of ice cream so we asked the server if we can trade for one of their other desserts. He first told us yes, but then came back and told us he wasn't able to. Apparently the manager Amy said no. I consider this bad customer service. To disregard a customer request for an item at such a low price will not justify my returning to this restaurant.

Since I post this the Manager from the Federal Way location called me today. He was very professional in the way he handled my complaint & addressed the issues. I feel he did the right thing. Thank you. Very disappointed with the Federal Way location. Poor customer service. Worst experience I've ever had at a Ram tonight. I've eaten at 5 of the locations & the Federal Way one will never get another $ from me.

A decent place plus it is walking distance from my hotel. The staff were superb even it was quite busy when I was here. They have a lot of tv screens in every direction. I rated a couple notches above Denny's that serves beer and alcohol.

Love it! The food and service is always great. We tried breakfast yesterday and it was really good too (served 9-11 a.m. during football season, even though they don't really advertise this). Their Proud Mary, a spin off of the traditional Bloody Mary, was more than I expected with a skewer of goodies and a snit of beer. Only gave four stars since many of the drinks during happy hour are not discounted, ask your server if you are budget conscious. The loaded waffle fries and potato skins are two of my favorite appetizers around, I highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

I was really excited to try this place out after seeing their menu online. We are rather new to Washington so we'd never heard of The Ram before. I love when a restaurant puts a interesting spin on a classic meal and that's exactly what The Ram does. Their burger options are what really pulled me in. So many fun combinations! We ordered the calamari appetizer and then I ordered the buttface burger and vampire fries (garlic fries). The calamari was tasty and worth the $9. Now onto my meal which is why they received only three stars. Everything looked and smelled fantastic. I bit into one of my vampires fries first and it was literally like biting into a garlic clove. The garlic was so overpowering that I could not eat them but no worries because my burger looked like more than enough to fill me up. Now my burger, the buttface ale cheese sauce was very good but the actual burger was overly charred. While eating it all I could taste was a burnt patty. It could have very well been an off night in the kitchen so I would definitely give them a second chance because I really want to love this place. As far as service, the hostess was extremely sweet and friendly and our server was okay and friendly but nothing above and beyond.

I was hesitant to go since they are a new open. But I have been twice and got great service both times. The first time was Joseph, he was awesome helpful. He had the kitchen make a reduction sauce before he would put in my order because he was worried I might not like it since I don't care for marsala sauce. I guess they were similar and he didn't even tell me he was going to do that. All sauces are made fresh per order. Way beyond the call of duty. I didn't care for it so he saved me a dish I wouldn't like. He was so attentive to our table. I left him a huge tip. The next time my server was a young beautiful Asian girl with an adorable haircut. I gave her my stylist number as hers was leaving the area and she was worried. She gave us just the right service. The food is very good. My husband loved his fish and chips and I love the steak salad. I had a sandwich the next time and it was yummy. Enjoy! I will be a regular.

Went to the bar to watch the game. 1st, the bar isn't apparent when you walk in. Feels like you have to walk thru the kitchen to get there. Food, mediiocre at best. Service average.. I'll need a reason to return.

It's only been open four weeks and already the luster has worn off. Server was sarcastic passive aggressive. Slow on refills. Waiters hanging out by front hostess stand hitting on them. Turn off. Get your staff in line with your corporate standards. I won't return unless I have to. Also, baby backs average. Nothing to write home about on the menu. Plenty of other either independent non chain restaurants to choose from with better food and service.

I will not be going back! We were seated rather quickly because it was right after the dinner rush and it wasn't busy. Our waitress took about 15 minutes to even acknowledge we were there and then got our drinks rather quickly. We ordered. That took the normal amount of time. My steak was cold and I was trying to wave down the waitress. She kept looking at our table but would not come over. I saw the manger was out and speaking to people right next to us but would not come to our table. It was so weird. So I went the whole dinner while my partner was eating without being able to eat. Cause literally no one came up to us. We finally got the waitress and I was so done I wanted to go. She took 30 minutes to bring us our check after we asked for it. Then took another 15 to pick it up. And then another 30 to bring it back. It should not have taken that long. Being a waitress myself I can understand it taking longer when it's busy but the restaurant was almost empty! And good service is not hard to provide. Especially when your only serving two other family's. most upset about the manager also decidedly ignoring us. I will not be going back and will never recommend this particular ram.

Good beer but mediocre food and bad service. Don't go here if you want to use the wifi. You'd think a restaurant that shares a parking lot with 2 business hotels would have a working wifi with a simple password. Never did get connected so had to go back to the hotel. Would have liked another beer.

First time eating here was so yummy that we went a few more times...and that's where it went downhill. First, I loved the pastrami hamburger on the pretzel bun that I had the first time - I can't remember the name of it because the menu has changed and it isn't on there anymore. The second time we went the food took quite some time and was cold by the time we got it. Third time...good - but trust me and stick to hamburgers the pasta isn't all that. Fourth time...no joke...raw hamburgers! Like cooked just a little on the outside! Yikes! And no we did not order the burger that way! The manager did have another one made up...which wasn't as raw but still way undercooked. Undecided if we will go back.

Our first and last visit. We were 4 adults and two 10 yr olds. Service was average, fish and chips were horrible the fish was like mush like it came from the freezer section at a grocery store. The sauce cups were tiny and we had to ask at least 5 times for more BBQ sauce, tarter sauce. Even though it is a sports bar with 15 TV's there of lots of other sports except football, how about some variety??? Just not a class restaurant.

My wife and I have been here several times since it opened. I like the food, the staff and setting. Service can be slow and the staff could more attentive to the needs of their diners and to the quality of the experience. A bar tender or server should never bring someone a dirty wine glass. Checking a glass for smudges and lip-prints is so easy, so why not do so before handing a dirty glass to your customer. It's a small issue but can taint the sum of the experience. Otherwise the staff is friendly, the energy is high and the food is tasty. My suggestion is stay on top of beverages. Five minutes can seem like an hour when you have nothing to drink. Plus you feel like a dork when there is nothing on the table but your own twiddling thumbs. Pay attention to details. The smallest of issues will trump an otherwise good experience. I almost forget the flow. Channeling customers by the pick-up window is going to get someone hurt. Three stars showing, I actually give it 3 1/2 stars. If you want 4, don't let me go dry!
